In Year 12 your son or daughter will be encouraged to participate in Young Enterprise, the United Kingdom’s largest business and enterprise education charity. Our students gain valuable insight into life after education through taking on a director role within a Young Enterprise Company.
Amherst School has an excellent track record in this competition with our students regularly winning awards. Working as a team they form and run their own private limited company, sell shares, manage accounts and develop and produce their product or service. In addition they hone sales and marketing skills as they take their offering to market and then test their presentation skills as part of the competition process.
It’s an exciting opportunity to acquire skills which they can take with them into their working lives and inevitably they also learn a great deal about the challenges of teamwork, negotiation, accounting and running a small business.
