Arranging to visit us
As much as we hope our website paints a rounded picture of what you can expect from our School, nothing compares with visiting in person to explore our enviable setting, appreciate the School’s wonderfully welcoming spirit and to experience the happiness, courtesy and warmth of our pupils, teaching staff and Foundation team.
We have a saying that ‘every school day is an Open Day’. If the School is open, then we will always welcome visitors, doing our very best to fit around you and your child or children.
Our only stipulation is that you make an appointment so that we can assure you of our best attention, give you ample time to have an informative tour and have people to hand, be they pupils, staff or the Head, to guide and answer any questions.
Visiting options
We are pleased to provide you with three visiting options, whether you are considering our Prep School, Senior School or Sixth Form entry. We operate a rolling enrolment programme and should you wish to join us part way through our year, we will be happy to arrange a visit or Taster Day as a valuable first step.
Personal Tour
Option one and perhaps the most immediate solution, is to contact the Registrar and arrange a Personal Tour.
We invite you to make an appointment at a time and date to suit you. During the tour you will dip into lessons, get a sense of a day in the life of the School and see some of our outstanding facilities for learning, sport and extra-curricular activities, including the first-class Loughborough Schools Music building. Parking for visitors is available at in our car park on Gray Street (postcode: LE11 2DZ) and refreshments will be offered.
Open Days
Option two is to come along on one of our regular Open Days. Our next open days are:
- Sixth Form Open Evening Thursday 14 November
- All School Open Morning 22 March
Open Mornings give us an opportunity to be fully focussed on visitors, with tours, complemented by an enjoyable range of performances, displays of work and presentations from the Head and key staff members.
Taster Days
Option three is for your child to join us for a Taster Day. This would usually be a next step after a successful tour, we will always invite children to a Taster Day. We value it greatly as an important part of the decision-making process for you, for us and of course, for your child.
It’s an absorbing day, during which children join classes, meet other pupils, gain an insight into School Life, often make firm friends, have fun, enjoy lunch and generally have a great time.
