Inclusion is central to life at Amherst School and we ensure that every one of our students is both cared for and cared about.
We work closely with students, parents, staff and external agencies to ensure each pupil has access to a broad and balanced education.
Recognising that many students will have additional learning needs at some time during their time at school our Academic Support is here to provide the best possible environment for learning for each and every student.
That support may come in short, sharp and very focussed bursts of intervention around a particular topic or subject, or may evidence itself in more regular support across the academic year.
We will select whichever approach is most appropriate, to help each pupil happily achieve their potential, using the expertise within the department and School to ensure our mission of a fully inclusive education is adopted and delivered in every classroom.
