Shakespeare Schools Festival

We are so proud of our pupils who have participated in the Shakespeare Schools Festival performance at the Curve Theatre in Leicester. Year 9 and Year 10 students from Amherst School, the High School and Grammar School, have shown an incredible amount of dedication and excitement towards the project, which has been evident through the quality of their performances.  On Thursday 3 February, our production of Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ was performed at the Curve Theatre in Leicester, and on Wednesday 9 February our students will be performing at Amherst School.

Using physical theatre as a focal point for the performance, our amazing cast have worked hard physically as well as verbally, and have developed their skills in physical theatre as well as acting. The Shakespeare Schools Festival has been an amazing opportunity for our students to spend time with other students, develop their drama skills, and experience a new and exciting production.

We were all incredibly excited for the performance of ‘The Tempest’ and our pupils had an amazing time!
