Acting Deputy Head Pastoral and DSL
I joined Loughborough Amherst School as Head of Upper School in September 2022 and I am currently the acting Deputy Head Pastoral and Designated Safeguarding Lead. From Loughborough University I graduated with a BSc in Chemistry and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education.
Prior to Loughborough Amherst, I worked at Ashby School for 9 years, 6 of which with a responsibility for pastoral care. As much as I relish teaching Chemistry and Science, it is my passion to support and guide pupils that I enjoy most about my role. All pupils at Amherst are able to feel secure, nurtured and directed to realise their full potential.
Away from education, I enjoy spending time with my family and following my love of rugby. An additional love is the Duke of Edinburgh programme and I continue to support this at Loughborough Amherst School.
