Back to Life in the Sixth Form

Outside of the classroom, girls at LHS Sixth Form broaden their horizons through an extra-curricular programme that has outstanding breadth, depth, variety and choice. An afternoon a week is dedicated to our students Health and Wellbeing. Some girls will want to get the blood flowing and utilise the facilities in the Parkin Sports Centre gym, or blow off steam playing sports with their peers. Others will take the opportunity to slow down, and take a moment, take a breath and engage with yoga or pilates.

Thursday afternoons offer girls a chance to do something different through our STEP programme. Whether it’s broadcasting on LSF Radio, giving back to the local community through our Voluntary Support Unit, or becoming an officer in our Combined Cadet Force, these sessions offer a chance for our students to work collaboratively with their peers cross campus, with the Grammar School, Amherst and the High School sixth form students all engaging with these activities together as a Foundation.
