A Level Results 2021

We could not be prouder of our Year 13 leavers, each one of whom is a remarkable individual and an inspiration to our school community. The year group’s fantastic results are richly deserved and are a testament to their hard work, grit and determination over the last two years. They have embodied the very best of LHS through their perseverance, good humour and care for those around them. We wish them all the very best for the journey ahead and look forward to hearing about their next adventures.

This year, students have been awarded teacher assessed grades (TAGs) based on a wide range of evidence from the A Level and Level 3 Diploma courses including rigorous summer assessments. At every stage of the process, grades have been subject to careful scrutiny and quality assurance, including sampling by the examination boards, who have endorsed our grades in full. We are therefore delighted that our final grades reflect the exceptional work of our students and the care, integrity and professionalism of our teaching and support staff.

Most of our leavers are preparing to take up their offers for higher education and we are thrilled that almost all have accepted their first choice of university. Our students will be pursuing a wide range of courses including architecture, performing arts, English, history, engineering, law, psychology, natural sciences, classics, geography and modern foreign languages. All of our students holding Oxbridge offers have been accepted on to their courses and all 22 of our students holding offers for medicine, veterinary science, dentistry and related courses have been successful. A number of students have planned gap years at home and abroad and we wish them health and happiness for the year ahead.
