The success of our boarding community has been an enriching part of Loughborough Grammar School for much of its long history.
Our Boarders are an integral part of a total Grammar School community of around 850 boys. There are over 70 Boarders, living in Boarding Houses situated within our campus.
The Boarders achieve excellent exam results;
- 78% of A Level leavers go on to study at top British Universities
- We prepare Boarders for Oxbridge
- An average of 11 students per year go on to study Medicine
Boarders are supported, individually known and are cared for and cared. Our two experienced Housemasters and their families provide a home from home for the Boarding community.
A Typical Day;
07:30 – Wake-up
08:00 – Breakfast
08:30 – 16:00 – School day including lessons Sport, Music, Drama and Lunchtime Clubs
16:00 – 18:30 – Homework, relaxation in the House, extra-curricular clubs or time to visit Loughborough Town Centre
18:30 – Supper
20:00 – Evening routine includes: Homework, House meeting, showers and cooking time
Weekends are organised for relaxing, cooking, shopping, playing sport, cinema trips, tours to major UK cities and having fun with friends.
