Our most important role is to look after your son’s wellbeing and ensure that he enjoys his time as a Boarder.

Within the Boarding community, there are several layers of support and care:

  • All Boarding staff have been trained by the Boarding Schools Association. All are trained in first aid and administering basic medicines.

  • We have on-site medical facilities with a fully qualified nurse. She conducts an initial appointment with each Boarder to discuss their health and any medical issues.

  • Our school doctor visits each week and Boarders have the opportunity to make appointments with them.

  • We have two school counsellors who are trained to support the mental wellbeing of students. If a student has a particularly difficult experience, is finding something stressful or needs to talk about their feelings, they can organise appointments with the counsellors. In addition, our Chaplain provides support to those in need.

  • Regular opportunities for exercise are provided. All students have scheduled Physical Education lessons during the day. Additionally, Boarders can access the gym, exercise clubs, sports teams. In the evenings, boarders will play basketball, badminton, football and table tennis in the Sports Hall.
