Earlier in the year, a group of Year 7 Loughborough High School girls were treated to a special trip to theatre to watch fellow pupil Estella perform as Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre in London’s west end.

Both staff and students were all truly dazzled by Estella’s impeccable performance as Matilda and were blown away by how Estella remembered her lines and still managed to be so animated!

The whole production was amazing, from the carefully choreographed dances, the accompanying music by the orchestra, to the theatre design, tech, and props. All these elements worked together to produce a very magical show.

Estella proved she was a true professional, a very talented actress and singer. It is not surprising that the LHS girls jumped up at the end of the show to give Estella a standing ovation! She said: “I love performing in ‘Matilda’ –  it is an amazing experience and I’ve made lots of friends and memories from it. I am really grateful that LHS has supported me in seizing this opportunity and it was so special that my teachers and year group came to support me. I’m so glad they enjoyed it.”

Estella is one of four Matildas performing in the show throughout March, April and May. Well done Estella!
