Our Music department is a tremendously exciting place to be, and choosing any of the Schools in the Loughborough Schools Foundation will also mean choosing this vibrant musical arena. There is a constant creative buzz here, and I hope you will also get to experience the highly inclusive and friendly atmosphere at our very core.

Serving the needs of over 2,000 pupils in the Foundation, from Pre-Prep through to Sixth Form, we offer a huge range of musical activities, all of which enable our pupils to achieve their very best. Our facilities are outstanding and we are delighted to be the only department in the Midlands to have ‘All-Steinway School’ status, giving our pupils access to the finest pianos available. Our curriculum is underpinned by a huge variety of instrumental ensembles and choirs, and plenty of opportunities for all our performers to strut their stuff on one stage or another, both within the Schools and further afield. Instrumental tuition is a real strength here, with a large team of specialists supporting and encouraging those who take individual lessons.

We hope to give you a flavour of just what makes our music exceptional: this is a place where individual achievements are recognised and nurtured, but where collective effort results in something really quite special. Everyone here is encouraged to make a significant and valuable contribution to the musical life of the four Schools.
