Welcome to Fairfield Prep
Fairfield Prep is definitely so much more than simply a school.
Our distinct family ethos ensures that we give every child the care and attention that we desire for our own children. We work on the philosophy of tiny feet making huge strides, so that when a child leaves Fairfield at the end of Year 6, they do so as happy, confident and fully independent learners.
We appreciate that choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you’ll make and the staff and I look forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to show you and your children our wonderful School in action.
Making learning a joy
Here at Fairfield, blessed with wonderful facilities within beautiful grounds, we take the word ‘Prep’ in our title very much to heart.
A friendly and supportive school community offers endless exciting experiences, developing an early love of learning which is the very best preparation for our happy young people to become inquisitive, grow in confidence and flourish as they continue their educational journey through the Foundation.no
Space to flourish
Parents would be the first to recognise that the dedication and consideration of our teachers is the driving force behind our children enjoying their academic and personal development.
These achievements however are greatly enhanced by an environment which is a joy to teach and learn in. Pre-Prep classrooms and our Kindergarten unit have access to covered outdoor learning space, our Food Technology Room, Performance Hall, Gymnasium, half-acre Forest School, Sports Field, amazing Sensory Learning Room and a specialist Music department, encourage every child to explore, try new things and blossom.yes A new parent after three weeks in the School described both her and her boy’s experience as ‘fabulous’
The Fairfield family
Everyone at Fairfield feels part of its success – a philosophy of togetherness that connects every member of staff with our pupils and their parents.
We are proud to have won an award for parental involvement and are equally proud that our children compete for a Courtesy Cup, a celebration of our belief in politeness and good manners.
Many visitors comment on the warm and friendly atmosphere which is nurtured through our culture of kindness.yes Pupils show notably high levels of self-confidence and are very self-motivated
Sowing the academic seed
Our aim is to ignite the spark that lights a lifelong love of learning in your child. Fairfield is a selective school and enjoys an enviable academic reputation both locally and nationally.
By working in harmony with parents, creating a collective spirit of achievement and by structuring learning to suit every individual, we ensure each child is best prepared for the challenges of secondary education.yes From an early age and throughout the school, pupils demonstrate an exemplary attitude to their learning
Every Fairfield pupil has the opportunity to find a passion for the things that matter to them. In our quest to develop the ‘whole child’ we offer a ‘whole world’ of opportunity beyond the classroom to explore the fields of Sport, Music, Drama, Art and more besides. Over 40 clubs and activities are available at lunchtime and after school, enabling every child to try their hand at everything from Origami to Hockey.no
So much more than another department, Loughborough Schools Music is the joyous soundtrack that infuses life at all the Schools within the Foundation.
Housed in a purpose-built space, it is a vibrant musical hub with a constant creative buzz. From Pre-Prep to Sixth Form, every pupil has the opportunity, encouragement and very finest tuition to explore their musical passions, achieve their very best and perform at the highest level.
By any measure, facilities are outstanding. We are proud to be the only Schools in the Midlands to have a Music department with ‘All-Steinway School’ status and we have a huge variety of instrumental ensembles and choirs so every pupil gets to ‘strut their stuff’ on one stage or another. Do come to see and hear us. It really is something quite special.no
