We hosted the National Schools Bridge Championships on Saturday. Our A team were looking to retain the trophy they won last year. They played superbly all day winning the qualification section for the semi-finals before confidently winning the semi-final going on to meet Haberdashers in the final. Although we took an early lead in the final, the team were unable to hold on eventually finishing runners up. Well played to Robert D, Neil, Robin and Alex in coming so close to being national champions for the second year in a row.

Our B team lost to our A team in the first round but went on to be unbeaten for the rest of the day and were the only team to beat the guest team of England Internationals en-route to winning the Plate competition, the best team not to make the semi-finals. Congratulations to George, Joss, Adrian and Thibault on a fine performance
