Action, adventures and adrenaline: the annual year 8 residential!
Zip lining, raft building, wall-climbing and archery were just a few of the activities that went down a storm with the year 8 Loughborough Grammar boys at their annual trip to Kingswood Outdoor Centre.
The three-day residential near Doncaster took place over the Easter break, which saw a busload of excitable and energetic boys accompanied by equally excited and, it might be fair to say brave, members of staff.
The days were filled with adrenaline-fuelled activities, alongside team-building challenges, whilst the evenings were filled with chats late into the night and far too many Haribo! And no residential would be complete without toasting marshmallows around a campfire, a staple ingredient for a great school trip.
Dr Al Waters, Assistant Head (Pupil Experience) said: “The boys enjoyed every moment and were great company. It’s always great to see the boys push their own boundaries and supporting each other in the team activities. I’m looking forward to the same trip next year for the current Year 7s already!”
