Geology Competition

On Tuesday, four Sixth Form Geography students competed in the East Midlands heats of the Schools’ Geology Challenge. Having fallen just short last year, we entered the competition hoping to go one better and secure our place in the national finals. We created a poster on the geology of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and gave a presentation on the same topic before competing in a geological quiz. The team were victorious in all three categories, which is even more impressive as all the other competing schools offer a Geology A Level. The team progress to the national finals at Burlington House, London in March. Our thanks go to Mr Hewitt for all his help
