Easy Life

Congratulations to alumni Murray Matravers (2014) and Sam Hewitt (2014) who were ranked number 2 in the BBC’s Sound of 2020 competition with their band ‘Easy Life’. The quintet formed “on a whim” in a pub two years ago, after spending several years scattered around other bands in the East Midlands. The band’s sound is hard to pin down contains elements of hip-hop, jazz, indie, pop, afro-beat, slow groove, ambient house and psychedelic electronica. 

We hope that they will have the same success as Stormzy who achieved the same accolade in 2015!
