Last Sunday the Denton Boarders enjoyed their annual trip to Oxford University in the glorious spring sunshine. They had a guided tour of the Oxford Colleges and learnt all about the eccentric traditions of Oxford students such as playing pranks on other colleagues and somersaulting into the river after their final exams! The Boarders then had a go at punting with mixed success. Despite some near misses, a good time was had by all and everyone managed to stay afloat – just! The day ended with an excellent meal at a local Chinese buffet restaurant. My sincere thanks to Mr Parton junior, for organising and coordinating a memorable day.
