This weekend Sandy raced in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle, 100m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 400m Individual Medley!!

With times of 26.05, 54.59, 1.59.59 and 4.10.30 (all personal best times) Sandy showed his strength as a freestyle swimmer. He was a reserve finalist for the 50m, 7th in the 100m, 4th in the 200m and 2nd in the 400m! His 50m butterfly and 100m backstroke were also PBs.

However, Sandy saved his best for last taking overall victory in the 400m Individual Medley. At the half way point of the race Sandy was six seconds behind the leader but, after a very strong breaststroke leg, with 100m to go he was less than half a second away – an awesome freestyle leg saw Sandy take victory by 0.15!
