Brand new Sixth Form Centre coming soon!
The exciting Loughborough Grammar School Tower complex refurbishment has now kicked off in earnest, which will include a huge face-lift for the Sixth Form Centre.
Come September, the space, dedicated to Loughborough Grammar Sixth Form boys, will have been transformed into a light and bright environment for both socialising and working.
The university-style surroundings will promote collaborative working, giving boys a taste of a professional working environment, with modern meeting spaces as well as individual workstations.
Vibrant and bright social spaces are being created, alongside a new café to provide essential sustenance for busy boys.
The first stages of the project include a complete strip-out of the Tower complex, and subsequent work will include new paintwork, fitting of a new staircase and installation of a feature ceiling, designed to provide more light to the area.
Helen Foster, Head of Loughborough Grammar School, said: “We’re very excited about the start of this project. It has so much to offer our Sixth Formers; the new space will provide the perfect environment for work, rest and play. Whilst it will be a much nicer place for the boys to socialise, the newly created spaces will also provide a professional atmosphere for collaborative working and meetings, giving our Sixth Formers a taste of what to expect at university and in the world of work.”
