Year 6 Girls’ Hockey vs LGJS

On a cold, crisp and sunny afternoon, the year 6 girls journeyed south to Leicester Grammar Junior School to play their final year group hockey fixtures. Throughout the season all the girls have put in some super performances and, irrespective of the team they have played in, have demonstrated fabulous determination and team support for one another. The matches have enabled the girls to play with a variety of different players and experience playing in positions that were new to them, including, for some, goal keeper. Furthermore, the opportunity to meet and play against girls from many different schools has hopefully fuelled the girls’ enthusiasm for hockey as they move on to their senior schools. Well played to you all and many thanks to all the parents for their continued support at all the matches.
