Year 6 Girls’ Hockey vs Leicester Grammar Junior School

On Wednesday 29th November the Year 6 Girls travelled away to play their final Fixture of the season against Leicester Grammar. Split up into five teams meant there were very few substitutes, a real bonus on such a cold afternoon as all the girls were kept very busy moving around the pitch. All the games were played with a super sporting attitude and it is credit to the girls that they never gave up trying to create goal scoring opportunities. It had also been wonderful to see how the girls hockey skills have developed so well over the course of the season and heart warming to see how much they have enjoyed it. Well done to each and every player and a big thank you to all the extremely supportive parents. Special thanks also go to Ms Nicol who so kindly helped with umpiring. We now look forward to similar success in the forthcoming netball term.
