Year 5 girls hockey results at Spratton Hall

On Wednesday 2nd December, Fairfield Year 5 girls travelled to Spratton Hall School to play four matches against their U 10 A,B, C and U11 C teams. All the matches were played in a good spirit and were very competitive. Spratton A team put up a good defence against Fairfield Blue Herons but were overcome by Fairfield’s constant pressure and conceded a goal leaving the score 1-0 to Fairfield. Arctic Herons played against Spratton Hall U10 B team and challenged well however were eventually overcome losing by 3 goals to 1. Fairfield Red Herons played against Spratton U11C team and played constructive, competitive hockey to achieve a final score of 2-2. The Grey Herons played against Spratton C team and soaked up a tremendous amount of pressure with the Fairfield GK playing superbly but unfortunately could not withstand the attacking force of Spratton who found the back of the net 5 times leaving the final score 5-0 to Spratton.

As always, Spratton displayed a fine standard of hockey making it a competitive and enjoyable afternoon of hockey with all the teams well deserving of a lovely chips and beans tea! Thank you to the parents who travelled to support us.
