U11 Girls’ Leicester Grammar Junior School Hockey Festival

On Wednesday 11th October the A team played in the LGJS Hockey Festival. The format consisted of a friendly tournament followed by a hockey workshop run by MT13. The day provided an excellent opportunity for the girls to prepare for the IAPS Regionals and improve their overall hockey skills. The squad played five matches and competed well, playing a very good standard of hockey. It allowed them to identify areas to work on and experience playing in a number of positions which will set them in good stead for the future. The match results are shown below and the girls were delighted to learn they topped their group with Grace Dieu. The all played really well and further congratulations also go to Isabelle who was awarded a prize for a great all round performance. As always, many thanks to our very supportive parents who braved the windy conditions to cheer the girls on. Thank you also goes to Mrs Love for her invaluable umpiring and support.
