U10 vs Foremarke

On Saturday Foremarke Hall held their annual U10 netball tournament. Many teams had entered and we looked forward to testing our skills and a number of new teams and some we had already faced this season. The afternoon was due to be a very busy one with 7 games in total and very little time off court. Our first match against Warwick Prep, who went on to win the tournament, proved to be our toughest test even though the score was level at half time. Warwick played very neat attacking netball and held there nerve in the shooting circle to win the game. We then faced to sides in Spratton Hall and Bromsgrove, who were not as physical as ourselves but passed accurately to work the ball into the circle. It took until our fourth match against Penine Way for the girls to start believing in themselves. They really took the bull by the horns and showed great determination and all their persistence paid off to win the game comfortably. We took this confidence into the next  match against King Henry who we had suffered a heavy defeat to in our first game of the season. The girls showed how much progress they have made since that match, enjoying the majority of possession. They were incredibly unlucky not to win the game with King Henry holding on for the draw. The final match against The Elms was another close one, just edged by one goal right on the final whistle. The girls demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience and never gave up in any of their matches, they were a true credit to themselves. Well done girls
