The Olympic Torch Comes To Loughborough

It was an historic day for Loughborough yesterday as the Olympic Torch passed through the town. The Prep children came into school extra early to catch a glimpse of the torch and set off on the short walk to Epinal Way to take up their position on the Torch route. The children (and staff) were thoroughly thrilled when the moment came. Our children involved in the choir or big band were then fortunate enough to serenade the gathered crowds in town when the torch came past the ‘sock man’ statue on Market Street. The music was very well received and was a great accompaniment to the torch’s journey through our town. It was fantastic for The Endowed Schools to play their part in this historic occassion.
