On Weds 20th January Fairfield played 4 matches against Foremarke prep school. The girls were keen and eager to build on their good start last week.

The U11 A team started well and were 2 – 0 up after the first 1/4, they maintained the lead until the end of the 3rd 1/4 when Foremarke drew level. Fairfield upped their game with some accurate passing and shooting in the final 1/4 to win 8-6.

The U11 B team had a very competitive match with the ball going from end to end without either team having any shooting success. Fairfield went into the final 1/4 1-0 down but with some accurate passing and tighter marking finished the match with a well deserved 1-1 draw.

The U10 A team were playing their first game of the season and were so eager to put their skills into play. They intercepted the first centre pass and worked the ball well down the court to score. They quickly built up a 5-0 lead, giving the girls plenty of confidence. Throughout the game the girls demonstrated some excellent passing skills, working well together to to regain possession all over the court. The final quarter gave the girls the opportunity to apply their skills to different positions which they did with energy and commitment.the final score was a fantastic 13-0 A fantastic performance which bodes well for the rest of the season The U10 B team also started brightly and were keen to build on their performance against Brooke Priory. Throughout the game they enjoyed the majority of possession. The first half saw them take an encouraging 4-0 lead. This enabled the team to field players in different positions which resulted in an even stronger second half performance, scoring another 6 goals. The girls should be very pleased with their performance and the final score of 10-0

Well done to all the girls involved. Thank you to Mrs Leah and Miss Greasley for umpiring and the parents for their support.
