Netball Results

The under 10 netball squad made a fantastic start to the season on Wednesday 10 January when they faced Foremarke and Stoneygate.

The B team played Stoneygate and started superbly! Passing the ball well down the court and into space. The shooters were calm and accurate when under pressure and showed great promise. They won the game 4-2.

The A team took part in a triangular and faced Foremarke in the first game. Momentum in the game kept switching between the two teams, with the lead changing hands several times through out the match. However in the final quarter we won possession back on the edge of the attacking third and scored twice to seal the victory, a 5-3 win.

The second match was against Stoneygate who have a great reputation when it comes to netball. Again the game was pretty even with both teams intercepting the ball all over the court. The defence were very busy and made sure they pressurised the Stoneygate attackers. The final score was 3-1 to Fairfield.

Both squads should be very proud of their performances in the first matches of the season, they show great promise! Thank you to all the supporters and Mrs Love for her umpiring.
