Fairfield vs St James Prep School
On Tuesday 2nd April the Year 6 Fairfield rugby team played at home against St James Prep School on tour from Hammersmith, London. The boys were a little concerned that as this was their football term and they had had only had a couple of training sessions it was going to be a difficult afternoon. Their fears were soon dispelled as they scored try after try in a blistering first quarter spell. Strong, purposeful running lines and super handling skills resulted in Fairfield scoring more tries throughout the contest. St James worked hard in defence and went on to score a number of well worked tries themselves towards the end of the game.
The result was a resounding victory for Fairfield and it was great way to end the spring term on such a high.
