In the spring term, upper prep pupils were tasked with building an eco habitat for small animals in Fairfield’s Eco Tech Challenge. The standard of entries was so high that four of their creations were entered into the Eco Schools category in the locally-staged 3M Young Innovators Challenge.

Following presentations to the judging panel, Isabella and Lucinda reached the final with their ‘Hedgehog Home’ and attended a recent awards evening at Loughborough College with Mrs Saperia.

Congratulations to them and to all our other entrants, Violet, Orla, Molly, Prisha and Catherine, who, in addition to very positive feedback from the judges, received Certificates of Entry in assembly.

All of the childrens’ wonderful eco habitats are now being used by the diverse range of wildlife at Fairfield’s Forest School.
