Year 2 Tag Rugby Festival

What a happy atmosphere at our Year 2 Tag Rugby Festival on Saturday! It was great fun for players, parents and staff. 20 of our Year 2 boys and girls seized the opportunity to represent their school for the first time in an event where they showcased the rugby skills that they have developed in our weekly Tag Rugby Club.
We were joined by Syston, Shepshed and Ashby Rugby Clubs in an event where children were given lots of opportunities to run with the ball and score tries. All of the coaches and parents were very encouraging. One visiting coach was bursting with praise, saying ‘This has been such a fantastic event. All of our children are beaming with confidence and happiness’.
We hope that lots of our players and parents enjoyed the experience to the extent that they are encouraged to join their local club (they all play on Sunday mornings).
