Fairfield Prep makes a big noise against bullying
Teachers from Fairfield Prep School, Mrs Ridley and Mr Groom, composed a song in support of Anti-Bullying week, which fits in perfectly with this year’s theme ‘Make A Noise About Bullying.’
Mrs Ridley, Head of Year 2, had the idea to compose a song to help spread the anti-bullying message, which she recorded as a voice note. Mr Groom, Head of Junior Music, then worked his musical magic to transform the words and tune into an anti-bullying anthem named ‘Make a Noise About Bullying Today.’
Mrs Ridley said: “With this year’s theme being ‘Make a Nosie About Bullying’ I thought what better way to make a noise than to sing a song! It’s been a hit here at Fairfield and we have even shared this with colleagues in other schools via social media. It’s wonderful to think that children in other schools will be singing our song to spread this important message.”
The song has been taught to, and practised by all Fairfield Prep children and they proudly performed it in all of their assemblies last week to ensure that they really did make a noise about bullying.
Make a Nosie About Bullying
Sing it loud, sing a bit louder
Please hear our song, tell everyone it’s wrong
Clap your hands, clap a bit louder
Please hear our voice and make the right choice
Make a noise about bullying today
Pat your knees, pat a bit louder
If you see someone being a bully
Stamp your feet, stamp a bit louder,
Don’t just walk away, check that they’re ok
Make a noise about bullying today
So make a stand, hand in hand,
and let kindness lead the way
Raise your voice, raise it higher
Make a noise about bullying today
Repeat
Clap your hands
Pat your knees,
Stamp your feet
Sing it loud
Make a noise about bullying today
