Oundle V Oakham V LSF

Loughborough Schools Foundation entered an U14 & U18 boys team and an U16 girls team at the swimming gala with Oundle and Oakham schools.

High School swimmers enjoyed what is only their second swimming fixture with some great personal best performances and a close competition with Oakham meant they only just finished 3^rd overall after all their events. This was a great experience as for a few pupils, it was the first-time competing in a 50m length pool.

Both the teams from the Grammar School also contested closely with Oakham and Oundle with the U14s finishing ahead of Oakham to take 2^nd place overall. Again, LGS had some great personal best times and even won a few of the individual races.

• Fitz won the U14 50m Backstroke in 37.8s.
• Darrell won the U14 50m Breastroke event in 42.04s.
• Christiaan kept the 50m Breastroke winning streak by finishing first in the U18 equivalent event in 36.4s.
