OLCS and LAS Alumni Day

Join us on Saturday 7 June at Loughborough Amherst School, formerly Our Lady’s Convent School, to reminisce, relive memories and have the opportunity to see the School before it closes its doors for the last time this summer.

The day will include two slots that you can book – either in the morning or the afternoon. We have suggested that class years 1950-1999 meet in the morning, and that class years 2000-2024 meet in the afternoon so that you are able to meet with friends and those in similar years. However, this is just a guide so please feel free to join us for the session that is most convenient for you.

We kindly ask that you only book one session to ensure as many alumni as possible are able to join us. Whilst you are able to bring a guest, please note that this event is no longer a family orientated event.

You will be able to enjoy tea, coffee and cake on the Quad (if the weather behaves!) and be able to catch-up with friends, as well as reconnect with those you’e lost touch with. You will also have the opportunity to look through some of the School’s archives.

School Tours

You will be able to look around the Cloisters, the Chapel, the Sixth Form Common Room, the Hall and the Library at your leisure, but please note that due to the numbers we are expecting and the School still being open to pupils, individual classrooms will not be open.

Parking

Please note that parking at Amherst is extremely limited and will be assigned as disabled parking only – please indicate whether disabled parking is needed when you book your ticket(s). There is however plenty of parking on the main campus in the visitor car park and down Burton Walks for all other guests.

We were overwhelmed by the number of alumni who completed the interest form – many of whom we are not in touch with, so please do spread the word – forward emails, post messages in group chats, share our social media posts and make it the topic of discussion to ensure as many alumni and former teachers are able to join us as possible!
