You are important to our future. Our next steps depend on you.
Have you ever considered remembering your school in your Will? People choose to write their Wills at different times of life, but the power and importance of bequests to do good in the world cannot be overstated.
If you are able to provide for your School, alongside family and other causes important to you, you’ll be enriching future generations’ education, the enjoyment of their Loughborough experience and giving young people the same opportunities you had.
A codicil form is available for anyone wishing to add Loughborough Schools Foundation to a Will they have already made.
Should you be inspired but not yet ready to make out your Will, please do get in touch with the team by emailing development@lsf.org when the time is right for further information.

Our thanks to you – the Thomas Burton Society
Loughborough Schools Foundation established the Thomas Burton Society to recognise those who have made a legacy in favour of their School. Thomas Burton was a local wool merchant who left money in his Will in 1495. Ralph Lemyngton, Executor of Burton’s Will, had the vision and foresight to found a school to educate the poor boys of Loughborough in 1495. The Thomas Burton Charity went on to establish Loughborough High School in 1850 and Fairfield in 1969. Today, Lemyngton’s coat of arms is preserved in our school crests.
We understand that your Will arrangements are a personal matter, and you may wish them to remain confidential. However, if you were to let us know that the School is included in your Will, it is both useful for the Head and Development Office to understand the level of future support and it offers us an opportunity to thank you and invite you to join the Thomas Burton Society.
Joining the Society is a matter of preference, and some Members prefer to decline membership. However, the Burton Society and Members are always invited to our events and social functions, and we make every effort to keep you up to date with news of School life.
