In September, we welcomed a very special group of alumni, friends, and supporters to campus for the annual 1495 Society Dinner.

The 1495 Society honours a community of donors who contribute £1,495 or more each year. Members play a leading role in ensuring our Schools continue to deliver an outstanding education and create opportunities for young people from all backgrounds.

Over the past 12 months, donations from 1495 Society members have totalled more than £1.5 million, funding 26 bursaries and initiatives such as Sport Player Pathways, STEM programmes, hardship grants, and financial support for pupils and their families.

During the evening, we were delighted to welcome Flight Lieutenant Tom Johnson (LGS 2016), who spoke about his experience at LGS, the Scholarship he received, and his career in the RAF.

Stuart Swan, Director of Development and Alumni Engagement, commented:
“The 1495 Society Dinner was a wonderful occasion, and it was a pleasure to welcome our supporters back to campus. We are very grateful for the impact that alumni, supporters, and members of The 1495 Society have on our Schools and pupils. Every donation makes a difference, and we sincerely appreciate those who are transforming lives through education.”
