OLD GIRL PUBLISHES THREE DECADES WORTH OF DIARY ENTRIES

Calling all art lovers and Leicestershire devotees! An Old Girl has published her perspectives of the countryside that has surrounded her for as long as she can remember.

Jane Harris (Class of 1963), after some persuasion from her family, has published over thirty years’ worth of diary entries about the natural history of the area. The book has memories going back to 1983 and finalises in 2016; it includes elements of history that she’s experienced and explores the beauty of nature from a local’s and artist’s perspective.

‘Wanderings on the Wild Side, A Natural History Diary’ has a large mixture of Jane’s paintings, photographs and sketches of different sceneries, such as the Outwoods, Bradgate Park, Charnwood Forest and Beacon Hill.
