The 1495 Society Dinner

In May, we welcomed a very special group of alumni, friends, and supporters to campus for the inaugural 1495 Society Dinner.

The 1495 Society honours a community of donors who kindly donate £1,495 or more each year to their school or £50,000 during their lifetime. Members of the 1495 Society play a leading role in ensuring that our Schools continue to deliver an outstanding education and equal opportunities for young people from all backgrounds.

In the last 18 months, donations from 1495 Society members have raised an incredible £1 million and supported 23 bursaries.

During the evening, guests heard from Jeremy Parton, Head of Year 7 at Loughborough Grammar School, about the difference their philanthropy is making to our school community. Society members also watched exclusive video messages from students who have benefitted directly from their generosity.

"The 1495 Society Dinner was an incredibly special occasion, and we were delighted to welcome our supporters back to school for the evening. Words will never be able to convey the impact alumni, supporters, and members of the 1495 Society have on the Schools and today’s pupils. Every donation makes a difference, and we are so grateful to those that choose to support our charitable mission to transform lives through education."
