World Book Day 2023 at LSF

On Thursday 2 March, we celebrated World Book Day across Loughborough Schools Foundation. Pupils and teachers from across the Schools all got involved.
At Loughborough Nursery, there were so many amazing costumes and they all had a lovely day looking at all things book related.
At Fairfield, the pupils and teachers dressed up as their favourite book characters. They also heard a wonderful assembly about the books that inspired a love of reading.
At Loughborough Amherst School, the Year 6 pupils focused on wordless books. They spent some time creating t-shirts based on the books, drawing secret doors to fantastical worlds.
Giles Kristian (FFD 1987, LGS 1994) is an author and current parent of Amherst School. He visited to Amherst to give a talk on Vikings and shared some memorabilia with the pupils.
At Loughborough High School, Mrs Harrison ran an assembly on World Book Day. During the assembly, they celebrated Year 12, Lucy who became the inaugural LHS Poet Laureate.

At Loughborough Grammar School, students from Year 6-8 received the World Book Day copy of ‘Boot it!’ by A.M. Dassu – a brilliant story written by one of the parents of the School.
