Miss Brindley, or Carla as she prefers to be known, has over a decade of experience of working within, and running, outstanding child care facilities and brings with her a raft of childcare qualifications. During her working life she has progressed from Nursery Nurse up to the position of Nursery Manager with full responsibility for coordinating the opening of Loughborough Nursery. Carla is passionate about her career in childcare and has always aimed to ensure that children learn in a safe, secure and stimulating environment, which provides the highest quality of care.
Mrs Holford is an old friend from Loughborough Amherst School pre-school Nursery and continues to lead our excellent pre-school Pioneers’ room. Mrs Holford is much loved by the children and is adept at preparing our Pioneers for their first days at school. Building on the confidence children have gained as they progress through Loughborough Nursery, Mrs Holford makes learning fun and has many years’ of experience to draw on in encouraging even the most timid or boisterous Pioneers to flourish.
Zoe has enjoyed over 20 years’ experience working in customer services and prides herself on being professional, friendly and approachable, with an enthusiastic attitude. Having previously worked on a school reception she has a great rapport with children, and with four of her own, she can empathise with parents who may be nervous when their child first joins us. It is then that her naturally calming nature and ability to listen is most appreciated by parents.
Judith our Nursery Chef has over a decade of experience working in various local nurseries and prior to that with Rainbows Children’s Hospice. She loves working in a nursery environment where she can interact with the children. Judith owns hundreds of recipe books and enjoys adapting recipes to make them as enticing as possible and nutritionally appropriate for the under 5s. She has lots of exciting plans to involve the children in the processes of growing and preparing food. Judith believes that children enjoy learning about the food they eat. Amber has over a decade of experience working in nurseries, most of that with children in the 18-24 month age range. She enjoys being creative, encouraging children with messy play whilst understanding each child’s personal developmental stage. She loves helping them as they engage with their surroundings; learning to manipulate things and expanding their language and social skills. Amber says there is always something exciting happening when working with this age group.
Mia has a range of experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 4 years but she enjoys working with all ages. She likes to provide messy play activities, especially painting, shaving foam and rice pudding play. Her favourite part of working with children is watching them grow into confident individuals. Mia finds it very rewarding knowing that she has encouraged, and been a part of, their development.
Heidi loves working in the Pathfinders room and enjoys the excitement and enthusiasm for life of the two to three year olds. She first knew she wanted work with children when her younger brother and sister arrived and now she finds that her calm and patient nature means she can really appreciate supporting the Pathfinders.
Nikki feels that being involved in a child's progression as they journey through the early stages of their life is the most rewarding part of her role. Finding ways to stimulate their minds and develop their creativity is what she enjoys most, especially through outdoor and literacy activities. She also enjoys engaging in role play with the children, as they explore and learn through play.
I have experience working with a variety of age groups and have worked within various settings. I have always enjoyed working with the babies as I can watch them grow and develop into their own characters. I particularly enjoy the outside environment and like to observe the children use imagination within their play.
Hannah has worked in childcare for over seven years with all ages from 0-4 years old. Hannah enjoys getting the messy play out for the children to explore and watching the children’s personalities emerge during role play. Hannah finds working in childcare very rewarding and hopes her work helps to set a child up for moving onto school.
Gemma has always had a passion for working with children and watching them grown and develop. Going outdoors is something she find exciting as she loves to observe the children discovering new surroundings and letting them use their imagination. Seeing children achieve their milestones, gives her a feeling of reward as she knows that she has helped the child to progress
Amy has many years’ nursery experience working with children of all ages. She particularly likes caring for babies, watching and helping them as they grow and develop. She enjoys doing creative activities with the children such as gluing, sticking and painting and sensory activities including using shaving foam and water play.
Martine has experience with all age groups but particularly enjoys caring for babies and under 2’s. She loves getting creative and messy with the children. Martine finds working with children very rewarding. As she is a part of a child’s journey through their early years she enjoys helping them learn, develop and watching their personalities emerge.
From a young age Lauren has always been interested in the development of young children. She enjoys talking to all children and getting to know each child individually, experiencing how no two children are the same. She also loves engaging children when in the outside environment particularly through the senses of touch and smell.
Farzana has a range of previous experience working with children. The best thing about her job is being able to teach a child something new and watch the twinkle in their eyes when they accomplish it and seeing how proud they look. Listening to them while they play and watching how their imagination develops makes her smile as each child grows into wonderful individuals.
Megan has always wanted a career working with children as she thoroughly enjoys helping them to learn and develop. Megan is a mummy of two and has had experience with working with children from six weeks to four years. Megan loves cuddles and loves to be creative though a range of messy activities.
Kendra, is a mother and step mother of two children and has experience with children of all ages. Kendra feels her experience has helped her gain lots of confidence in being there to support a child’s daily routine and each individual need. Kendra loves watching the children’s characters shine through and finds that this makes it such a rewarding job.
Emily is a lively individual who likes to get messy and creative with children of all ages. She aspires to help them to develop and progress though their early stages and gain their own personalities.
Abbie has always aspired to work with children and has begun her experience doing so at Loughborough Nursery. She enjoys working with children of all ages and is greatly inspired watching them grow and develop their own personalities.
Jen is extremely excited to be part of the Loughborough Nursery staff team. With two children herself she feels she has the knowledge and experience to be able to relate to parents. Whether that be in regard to ‘first day’ anxieties or celebrating those first exciting milestones. Jen is passionate about her role and finds watching children grow and becoming individuals thoroughly rewarding.
