We are very fortunate to have a range of free flow outdoor spaces at Loughborough Nursery. With space to run around or play quietly in the mud kitchen, the children are able to exert themselves physically, master new, challenging play equipment and connect with exciting new sensory experiences.
Our Main Garden allows the children to develop gross motor skills with the large climbing equipment and climbing wall and encourages children to further develop their love for literacy in our cosy reading shed. This garden also has a fenced off area for our Developers (babies), enabling them to enjoy fresh air and stimulation safely away from the more physical fun of our older children.
Our Priest House Garden boasts a more natural feel allowing children to explore nature by going on mini-beast hunts, planting and digging in the mudded areas. This garden also has a picnic area where the children will often enjoy their snack or tea.
Pioneers have their own fenced off area that is attached to their room to allow them to freely explore all areas of continuous provision, whether that be riding around the racetrack on the bikes and scooters or using the natural loose part materials on offer to boost their imaginative skills by building a fort.
