Loughborough Nursery have been getting into the Christmas spirit throughout December with lots of fun and festivity! From sing-alongs to Nativities and Christmas parties, the calendar has been jam-packed! 

Friends and Family of the Nursery children were invited to our sing-along at the beginning of December where they joined the children in a chorus of festive favourites, including Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Jingle Bells. With refreshments of mince pies served afterwards, it was a great way to start the season. 

Older children, from our Innovators and Pioneers groups, also put on a fantastic Nativity performance, telling the story of the birth of Jesus Christ.  

After lots of singing practice, the children put on their costumes and performed in front of a large audience of friends and family. All the children did a great job of getting up on the stage and singing beautifully! 

Throughout December, the children have also enjoyed a range of Christmas-themed activities, not forgetting the delicious Christmas Dinner they enjoyed cooked by our amazing Nursery chefs, Lucy and Jennah! 

Activities encouraged the children to get creative; they have enjoyed designing their own Christmas baubles using colourful tiles, developing their numeracy skills by counting snowballs and painting their very own snowflakes. 

Finally, we hosted a wonderful Christmas party to celebrate the season with our Nursery community before looking ahead to the New Year. Children arrived in their party outfits and were treated to a very exciting visit from Father Christmas, before sitting down to enjoy lots of festive snacks.
