Tennis triumph as young athlete wins Wimbledon qualifier wildcard
We’re delighted to celebrate the incredible achievement of Daniella who has secured a qualifying wildcard for Wimbledon following her win at the under 16s and under 18s national championships.
Daniella, who is a current Loughborough University National Tennis Academy (LUNTA) player and pupil at Loughborough High School, will compete in a three-round knock-out tournament starting on 22 June, just one week prior to the championships for a place in the tournament.
The LUNTA programme is just one of two of its kind in the UK which aims to nurture tennis skills and talent in 14 to 18-year-olds who demonstrate the greatest potential in the sport and we are proud to deliver a first-class education to some of the country’s most promising junior tennis players through our partnership.

The programme has seen notable success, with pupils achieving major titles including the Junior Australian Open and Junior Wimbledon.
Daniella’s achievements are a testament to the strength of this unique academic and sporting partnership, especially as the Wimbledon qualifier wildcard follows her success at the 18U Lexus Junior National Championships earlier this month in the girls’ singles at the National Tennis Centre.
