Loughburians Golf Society

The fixtures are a fantastic opportunity to get together with fellow Loughburians playing a sport you love at some of the best greens in the country. You’ll be able to enjoy some discounted prices and some friendly competition playing against alumni from other schools, as well as competing for and defending trophies.

Alumni from across the schools are welcome to play in all events.

Please note there is a £10 annual subscription fee, unless you are under 30 where subscription is free.

2026 fixtures:

24 April 2026	Old Pupils Golf Day at Luffenham (Teams of 6 for 36 holes of foursomes). Nick Preedy will be using this as a warm up event for the Grafton Morrish qualifying and will select the team(s). (This year we will have two teams in the event). The Loughburians pay half the cost for selected team members.
30 April 2026	Match & Ratcliffe College Old Boys & Girls at Rothley GC. Meet there at 12.45pm. (Golf & meal afterwards).
17 May 2026	Grafton Morrish Qualifying – team of 6 at Gog Magog, Cambridge. (Single figure handicaps only).
28 May 2026	Spring Trophy Meeting at Coxmoor (Meet at 12.45pm for soup and sandwiches). (Cost for lunch, golf and meal will be no more than £100 – fantastic value – so please come and support this event).
27 June 2026	Quincentennial Trophy at Rothley Park GC. Tee Off slot in the afternoon for Loughburians. (A chance to play Rothley for a hugely discounted fee). Special prize for Loughburians playing in our afternoon slot.
27 July 2026	Match & Nottingham High School Old Boys at Beeston Gields GC. Meet at 12noon for 1.30pm tee off. (2 course meal after play).
15 September 2026	Match v School at Longcliffe GC. Tee Off 1.00pm to 2.00pm. (8-10 players required – golf & meal afterwards so please support this event to help ensure the future of golf at The Foundation Schools).
1 October 2026	Autumn Trophy Meeting – Stanton on the Wolds GC. Meet at 12.30pm for soup and sandwiches 1.30pm tee off.
16 to 18 October 2026	Grafton Morrish Finals at Hunstanton and Brancaster.
