I worked in a variety of schools before joining Loughborough High School as Deputy Head (Academic) in September 2019, and was attracted to the Loughborough Schools Foundation for many reasons.  The Foundation site – more like a university campus than a school site – is a really enjoyable place to come and work at every day, blending magnificent Victorian buildings with cutting-edge architecture, fusing a sense of history with a focus on the future. The campus is peaceful and productive. Being part of the Foundation readily allows ongoing support and professional development for all colleagues here not just within your own school: we work together across the schools in all sorts of ways, ensuring a knowledgeable and friendly face is never far away. Most importantly, the pupils are a joy. Talented, funny, friendly; purposeful but without being arrogant in the slightest. Adding in wonderful colleagues and supportive parents, the Loughborough Schools Foundation really is an exceptional place to work.
