Excellent GCSE results are being celebrated today by pupils, parents and staff across both our senior schools.
At Loughborough Grammar School, 43% of all grades awarded were at Grade 9-8, increasing from 39% in 2025. 27 pupils achieved an outstanding set of results comprising exclusively of Grades 7, 8 and 9.
In line with last week’s A Level results, strong results were once again seen across the board, including in Chemistry, Greek and Latin, alongside 79% of pupils achieving Grades 9- 7 in Mathematics.
Mr James Neville, Head of Loughborough Grammar School, said: “We are pleased to celebrate outstanding GCSE results this year, which are testament to the commitment and hard work of our pupils, supported by their dedicated teachers. These results follow an exceptionally successful year for this cohort, who have contributed to all aspects of the rich and varied co-curricular programme so central to life at Loughborough Grammar School.
“While these results mark an important milestone, they are just the beginning of the next stage of our pupils’ education. We look forward to seeing them build on these achievements as they embark on their exciting Sixth Form journey ahead.”
Grade 9 accounts for 28% of all GCSE grades at Loughborough High School, increasing from 26% in 2025. 68% of girls achieved Grade 9-7, with 14 pupils achieving six or more Grade 9s.
Strong results have been seen across language subjects, with 80% of pupils receiving Grade 9-8 in French and 71% in Spanish. Pupils have also excelled in Italian with 75% achieving Grade 9-8.
Reflecting on the results, Dr Fiona Miles, Head of Loughborough High School, said: “We are so proud of our Year 11 pupils, who have achieved superb results and shown such spirit and resilience during their time with us. They have been a wonderful year group, and we look forward to welcoming them to Sixth Form!”
The results reflect the Foundation’s commitment to academic excellence, opening the doors for pupils to pursue their passions and develop their confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
