Kirsty Miall 2003 – Global Marketing Director

,

What does your role involve?

Leading the global marketing for children’s brands such as Care Bears, Holly Hobbie, and Madballs.

How has your time at School influenced your life and career?

LHS opened up so many doors for me and gave me the confidence to push myself further than I thought I could go.

What are your career highlights?

I have led some marketing campaigns for some of the most amazing brands, mostly in broadcast, including The Great British Bake Off (one of my favourite shows!) Seeing my campaign for the Australian Open shine on the largest advertising screen (at the time) in Europe – Piccadilly Lights, and working with Roger Federer on his documentary Portrait of a Champion. Also winning a Campaign Award for Best B2B Marketing Event in Asia for NBCUniversal.

What job search tips would you give to pupils looking for a career in your industry? What are employers looking for?

Think outside the box. Employers get so many emails, CVs and cover letters – what makes you stand out? For example: Applying for a role at Disney? Write your cover letter in the style of a Disney song.

What ambitions do you have for the future?

Whatever I end up doing, my aim is to try and make the world a slightly happier place, even if just with more Care Bears.

How would you describe your time at School in 3 words?

Transformative, pivotal, fun.
