Life in Loughborough

Loughborough, located in the heart of the East Midlands, has a rich history dating back to its origins as a Saxon village. By the 13th century, it had grown into a bustling market town, a tradition that continues today with a popular weekly market and an annual funfair every November.

The town is vibrant and lively, thanks in part to Loughborough University and Loughborough College. Students and residents alike enjoy the local shops, cafés, pubs, and two cinemas. Cineworld, with its food and drink franchises, has become a popular meeting place for students.

Loughborough University is renowned for its excellence in sports, producing celebrated athletes such as Paula Radcliffe and Sebastian Coe (Lord Coe). For culture enthusiasts, venues like De Montfort Hall, Birmingham NEC, Utilita Arena Birmingham, and Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena and Playhouse are all within easy reach.

For those considering relocating from the southern counties, Loughborough offers excellent value for money. Detached properties are available from around £144,000 to £462,500+, often within easy access of the beautiful countryside and large parks, making it an ideal place for families and professionals alike.

Well Connected Living

Loughborough is fortunate that its rail links mean that Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester are within easy reach.
