Because of you… Stories of generosity and opportunity across our Schools
We have recently published our latest donor and volunteer impact report, Because of you…, celebrating the generosity of alumni, donors and friends whose support continues to make a difference to pupils across our Schools.
Bringing together stories from the past year, Because of you… shows how gifts of time, expertise and philanthropy help pupils access opportunities, overcome challenges, and make the most of their education.
At its heart are the stories of pupils and families whose experiences have been transformed through bursaries, scholarships, hardship support, prizes, and gifts given in memory of loved ones. This support helps ensure pupils are able to take part fully in school life, from academic study to music, sport and wider opportunities.
The report also reflects the many ways members of the alumni and supporter community share their time and experience with current pupils. Volunteers contribute through mentoring, careers talks, assemblies, ceremonial roles, and by supporting alumni committees and societies. These contributions help broaden pupils’ horizons and connect them with the wider LSF community.
Over the past year, financial pressures facing many families have increased, and demand for support has remained high. Thanks to the generosity of donors and the time given by volunteers, pupils have continued to access opportunities that might otherwise have been beyond their reach.
As the report shows, support takes many forms. Some choose to give regularly, others establish scholarships or contribute to collective funds. Many supporters also remember the Schools through gifts in their Will, helping ensure future generations of pupils can benefit from the same opportunities they once had.
Together, this generosity of time, expertise and philanthropy helps sustain opportunity for pupils today and in the years to come.
The stories in Because of you… show how the generosity of the LSF community continues to open opportunities for pupils today and for future generations.
