Last weekend, 30 alumni from the Classes of 1976–1978 gathered at the White Hart in Quorn for a rugby reunion to watch England’s opening Six Nations fixture against Wales.
Organised by Dave Barnett (LGS 1977), the occasion marked almost 50 years since many of the group had left LGS and provided the perfect opportunity to reminisce about time spent on the rugby pitch, share memories of school days, and catch up on life since.
While some attendees regularly stay in touch through the Golf Society, others travelled especially for the reunion, underlining the strength of the friendships formed all those years ago. The afternoon, capped off with a curry, was a fitting celebration of enduring connections and shared history.
Roll on the next reunion!
