Bee Wise Book Launch

,

Philip Atkinson (LGS 1989) is a keen bee keeper and organisational coach based in France and Switzerland. He has recently published Bee Wise – 12 Leadership Lessons from Inside a Busy Beehive.  A number of alumni joined the London book launch in February, below from left to right, Mike Jenkins (LGS 1989), Phil Tatham (LGS 1989), Jonathan Proctor (LGS 1989) and Mathew Gill (LGS 1989). Kirstie Arrowsmith (LHS 1989) also attended the event.

The book has been receiving good reviews and a lot of interest;

The beehive is the ultimate business case study for complex organisations and working life today. In this fascinating book, leadership coach and beekeeper, Philip Atkinson, draws from the bees and what happens inside a hard-working hive to gain a fresh perspective on the most pressing challenges facing leaders and every organisation today.

‘A thought provoking reflection on the complex lives of bees and how that can be used as a metaphor for leadership in large organisations.

There is something for everyone in this fascinating book’

Martha Kearney, BBC Presenter & Beekeeper

All proceeds go to the charity, Bees for Development.
